I have never been this excited about a product since the iPod. I have said it time and again in this blog and in the podcast, I am an Apple fan boy. I idolize Steve Jobs, the late chief evangelist of Apple. Even Jony Ive, the Brit who is the top designer of iconic products such as the iMac, iPod, iPhone, iPad and now the Apple Watch.
I also admire how the company has survived the post-Steve Jobs era. Pundits were saying that Apple will go on a downward spiral after his death but the launch of this landmark product silenced all the Apple critics.
Here is a video of the Apple Keynote last September 9, 2014.
I am warning you that the video is 2 hours long. But still, you can feel the excitement and electricity from the crowd. It’s like watching the Oscars, the only thing different is that the main stars are not people but products. I give it to Tim Cook, Apple’s current CEO, for keeping Steve’s spirit alive in the company, in the devices and most especially in his keynote speeches. He’s doing a masterful job so far.
“One more thing…” – Steve Jobs’ popular line that he used during the iPod and iPhone keynotes was heard again from Tim Cook ushering in the new Apple Watch.
In this podcast episode, I discuss the 5 reasons why you should WATCH out for the new Apple WATCH. Here they are:
- Stunning Design
- Impeccable user interface.
- Will make fitness bands or wearables obsolete.
- Super customizeable.
- Enhances “personal” connection between wearers.
Meanwhile, here is my favorite pilot watch face (sorry, let me wipe off my drool :))
