Sunday, October 25, 2015 was a very memorable day for me. It was the day when we officially launched the ground-breaking business book, Cyberpreneur Philippines.
I have always dreamt of having my own book in the shelf of a bookstore plus it was one of my goals this 2015 to have a book published before the year ends. That’s why seeing the stacks of the Cyberpreneur books in front of me that fateful day definitely gave me goosebumps.
I was so fortunate to be invited by Page Jump’s husband-and-wife team of Ray and Anne Calbay to become not only one of the authors but also one of the editors of the Cyberpreneur book in January of this year. It happened while I was in the process of inviting and interviewing Anne Quintos (Anne Calbay’s pen name) for the Freelance Blend Podcast (listen to our interview here).
Once I accepted the invitation, I knew that I will be part of something special, a powerful book that will impact many of our countrymen’s lives.
Fast forward ten months later, the book is now ready to be in the hands of the masses and hopefully inspire them to fulfil their dreams of becoming cyberpreneurs.
Why become a Cyberpreneur?
Fed up with Manila traffic? It’s now officially the worst in the world, according to the navigation app Waze.
Before even getting to the office, many already feel spent by getting stuck on EDSA or lining up for the MRT for hours on end.
Imagine working anywhere so long as there’s Internet connection.
“Cyberpreneurs” enjoy this lifestyle, working in shared offices, coffee shops, or even in their bedrooms.
These business-minded Filipinos make good use of the Internet to sell services, create various digital and software products, or get into retail through e-commerce.
How to become a Cyberpreneur
If you want this option, Cyberpreneur Philippines: Online Business Start-up Guide, the latest title from PageJump, holds the answers for you.
Edited by Ray Calbay (Co-Founder of PageJump), Marv de Leon (Founder of Freelance Blend), and Paolo Lising (Founder of Million Dollar Concepts) – the book is a compilation of tips, insights, and practical suggestions by some of the country’s most successful and up-and-coming online entrepreneurs.

Straight from the experts
Startup founders, top freelancers, and company CEOs contribute chapters about the many online business opportunities that enterprising Filipinos can take advantage of. The book also covers topics ranging from skills assessment, business planning, to important Web skills such as search engine optimization and social media marketing.
