It was our first event for 2015 and our very first speed networking event. I myself have never even been to a speed dating gig (during my single guy days, speed dating had yet to be invented. Okay, it’s up to you to calculate my age.)
So we are charting new territory here and so I was a bit anxious. And I am sure, the participants were as well.
But I am glad to say that the event was a success, thanks to all of you who attended. In case you missed it, here are the photos from the event.
We had freelancers and entrepreneurs from diverse fields — from startups to web design, nutrition, online business, software development, photography, blogging, manpower development and real estate. You name it, we had it.
We would also like to congratulate the winners of Mr. and Ms. Friendship of The Day, as voted by the participants. Businessman Joseph Malinis for Mr. Friendship while Clarisse Mallari, lawyer and financial advisor, for Ms. Friendship. Burger! Burger!
In fact, one of the biggest winners of the Speed Networking Brunch was software developer, Mark Tutor, who happily shared how he was able to book a big project because of this event. Here is what he had to say about the Speed Networking Brunch:
“The speed networking is so much fun, I was able to meet a lot of people with different backgrounds, and not just with different backgrounds, I met CEOs of international companies, I have met logistics expert, web designers, programmers, investment specialist and more, can’t remember everyone but it was fun and very challenging, cause you have to talked to people one after another, then it goes on for more than an hour, it’s amazing. and the best part. I’ve met a client who needs a website and it’s a big project. I’m looking forward on the next speed networking, actually I’ve already told everyone I know about speed networking and they’re asking when is the next one. oh and btw, the food is great. Freelance Blend rocks!”
‘Til our next Speed Networking event!
